For the Military World Games, I created a type-based event logo with a Russian feel. The rigid nature of the type is softened using a color palette derived from colors found in

the onion domes of the Basilica.

For the individual events, characters were created from the typeface shapes and manipulated to show movement in their depiction of each sport.
